Michael Crocker Signs With Rabbitohs

Michael Crocker signs with South Sydney Rabbitohs

Having met Rabbitohs coach Jason Taylor three weeks ago, Crocker received the now obligatory phone call from Russell Crowe - reserved for prized signings - urging him to come aboard.

And while there was plenty of talk about premierships, winning cultures and Bunnies history, it was Crowe's 1993 movie Silver Brumby that dominated conversation.

"We actually spoke about horses . . . my wife's (Sally Carne) favour- ite child movie was one of Russell's first movies, so we had a good chat about that actually," Crocker said yesterday, after signing a 3½-year deal, believed to be worth up to $250,000 a season.

"It was pretty funny actually. Probably not what you'd expect."

Australia Unites Video

Our hearts and prayers go out to all those involved in the recent bushfires in Australia. Many lives and homes were lost and we at The Glen, Russell Crowe Fan Fiction, and Libriscrowe would like to offer our condolences and prayers to all who have suffered during this devastating event.

This video is a clip from the Austalia Unites telethon on Channel Nine in Australia. Russell, Coach Jason Taylor and Rabbitohs team members talk about the devastation and the fundraising efforts in Coff’s Harbour. Anyone who would like to make a donation can do so at the following link:
