A young Cort wakes at the Mission de Hermosillo to sounds of riders in the night. The man he finds in the dark is certainly a legend, and nearly a ghost, the infamous gunfighter Ben Wade. Together, Cort and Wade share a bottle of whiskey and a journey of discovery into the past.
