Man! When Cal and Colleen get back, they may have to think about expanding the paper! Every issue is so full of news lately. Abby and I have been working like crazy! But we're really enjoying doing things while they're gone. Just wish we had more good news to report right now.
Still, it's great that all the residents are sticking together during such a difficult time. I'm really glad I moved here! Here's your news for today:
February 27th, 2009
A Poem by Atonia
A loyal reader contributed this poem to the paper. Abby and I thought it might be just the thing to help us get through all this dark news. Enjoy!
Richie Roberts, Amanda and Miss Peeg
News of the murder puts Richie and Miss Peeg on the alert. Even more so, when they find out it's Marce who's been killed, and Hando's suspected!
Jess and Dom Malone
Dom and Jess are shopping for a table and chairs. But what Dom finds is another woman! Well, sort of. The kind with 4 wheels and (maybe) an engine. Will Jess give him a chance to restore her?
Tom Young and Steve
Tom and Steve are called to the murder scene to pick up Marce's body. Will all this make Tom and Tori think twice about moving to the Glen?
Bud and Marie White
The murder is putting everyone in the Glen on alert. Bud White's going into protective mode with Marie. They race over to protect Ashley, who's alone while Lachlan's away.
Sir Robert and Julie St John
How could It Possibly be Personal?
Robert and Julie have dinner and discuss the Crusades. Will he accidentally reveal his secret to her?
Julie's very much enjoying her after-dinner conversation with Robert about Richard the Lionheart. But there's something about Robert... It's almost as if he were actually there!
Robert's telling Julie things about history that she's never read anywhere. Just how does he know so much? And why does he walk out on her so abruptly?
Jan Rollings
Just what it says. An intro to Travis McGee's favorite lady.
Joe Sweeney
Joe's on the run. Just where is he now?
Bridgid and Jack Aubrey
A picture is worth a thousand words.
Lucy and Andy
Andy and Lucy are in their new flat. To Andy, a man's home is his castle, and this is like a palace compared to their room at the tavern!
Dan Evans and Libby
I hate crowded restaurants! But this morning, I really didn't mind sitting at a table with a stranger. Hope I get to sit at his table again!
Johnny Ryan and Amanda
Johnny Ryan's a little embarrassed that a sheila's taking care of him. Amanda assures him she's not looking to be paid back. At least, not with money! What will Auntie think?
Ed and Bron with Ceri and Max
Max & Ceri, Ed & Bron have all just heard about the murder. Leave it to Max to find a bright spot in the whole thing.
Jim and Ivy Braddock
Sounds like the Glen might be getting some new residents. And maybe a new grocery!
Just had to add another late-breaking story. It's starting to look like I'll never get out of here tonight! But that's okay. I love doing it! Besides, if I stay here all the time, I won't have to look for an apartment!
Abby and I'll be keeping you up to date on everything. And we hope to be able to tell you more about this murder in the next few days. So, everyone hang in there, and we'll all get through this.
Everyone be careful and stay safe.
Libby
